Do I need to worry about Nigerian customs and quarantine?
Nigeria’s borders are controlled by the Nigeria Customs Service together with the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS), which restricts foodstuffs, plants, seeds and untreated wood packaging, while alcohol is dutiable and certain used goods (used fridges, compressors and vehicles over 15 years) are outright prohibited. We prepare a correct, itemised inventory and declaration so your shipment clears customs without delays.
What customs paperwork do I need for a move to or from Nigeria?
Typically the duty relief on used household effects under the Nigeria Customs Service “Passenger’s Concessions” regime for returning residents (abroad at least nine consecutive months, items owned six months, arriving within nine months of return) — declared as a Personal Unaccompanied Baggage Declaration (PUBD) and cleared on a Single Goods Declaration (SGD) via the Nigeria Customs electronic system; no single stand-alone form number together with your passport, visa and a full inventory. We prepare and lodge the documentation for you, so nothing slows your shipment down.
