Secure storage near Zürich and Geneva with climate control, 24/7 camera monitoring, individual locks and GPS-tracked inventory. Short-term between origin and destination dates, or long-term over months — covered by optional all-risk insurance on request.
Settling-In & Local Support
We go beyond moving. From the SEM residence permit (non-EU/EFTA) and in-person Einwohnerkontrolle / Contrôle des habitants registration, to opening a bank account at UBS, Raiffeisen or ZKB, choosing a mandatory Krankenkasse (CSS, Helsana, Sanitas, Swica) and registering with the cantonal tax office (ESTV), plus utilities and schools — we give you local guidance every step of the way.

Our German-, French- and English-speaking specialists vet properties in Zürich, Geneva, Basel or Bern, arrange in-person or virtual viewings, review your lease in English, and finalise the deposit transfer. All you need to do is arrive and move into your new home.

Common questions about a Flyto move
What’s the difference between Silver, Gold and Platinum?
Silver — one driver, basic carrying, A→B transport. Gold (most popular) — 2–3 professional movers, loading/unloading, furniture blankets. Platinum — professional packers, packing materials, packing + unpacking included.
Is moving insurance included in every package?
Standard transit insurance is included on every Flyto package. For high-value belongings and overseas routes we recommend optional all-risk cover. We quote both options up front in CHF.
Do I need a T1 transit document for moves between Switzerland and the EU?
Yes. Switzerland is in the Schengen Area (since 12 December 2008) but outside the EU customs union — bilateral agreements only. Every move between Switzerland and any EU country requires a T1 transit document, a detailed English-language inventory and a customs import declaration at destination. We prepare and file the paperwork with Swiss Customs and at destination on your behalf.
Do you offer storage in Switzerland?
Yes — secure storage near Zürich and Geneva with 24/7 surveillance, individual locks and GPS-tracked inventory. Short-term between origin and destination dates, or long-term over months. Insurance for stored goods available on request.
How far in advance should I book my move?
Most international moves are booked 4–6 weeks ahead for European routes and 8–12 weeks ahead for overseas (sea container) shipments. Urgent moves often accommodated — contact us for current availability.
Which Swiss cities do you serve?
Nationwide — Zürich, Geneva, Basel, Bern, Lausanne, Lugano, Winterthur, St. Gallen and every town in between, including Alpine regions and remote valleys. Same-day local relocations available in the major cities.
Do you help with SEM permits and Einwohnerkontrolle registration?
Yes. We coordinate the SEM (State Secretariat for Migration) residence permit application for non-EU/EFTA citizens, and the in-person Einwohnerkontrolle / Contrôle des habitants registration within 14 days of arrival. We also help you choose a mandatory Krankenkasse (health insurance) — CSS, Helsana, Sanitas or Swica — within the 3-month deadline.
What about cars, motorbikes and other vehicles?
We arrange vehicle transport with customs clearance. Cars and motorcycles have separate Swiss import rules and cannot always be moved as Übersiedlungsgut (removal goods). We handle the export declaration from Switzerland and coordinate the import declaration at destination, including the T1 transit document for routes through EU territory.
